ABCD Head Start
Mission: Action for Boston Community Development is Boston’s antipoverty agency, serving more than 95,000 low-income Greater Boston residents in 2013 through its city-wide network of neighborhood-based organizations. ABCD provides innovative, timely programs that promote upward mobility and a higher quality of life for people and communities.

Asian American Civic Association
Mission: The Asian American Civic Association (AACA), operating since 1967, provides all immigrants and economically disadvantaged people with education, occupational training, and social services enabling our clients to realize lasting economic self-sufficiency. AACA has taken a leadership role in workforce development, delivering high quality training that leads to promising careers. Our English classes continue to prepare newcomers for higher education and employment. Our Mandarin immersion childcare center is the first of its kind in New England.
Services Provided: Multi service center for Asian immigrants and refugees providing basic adult education, family literacy programs, office skills training, job counseling and placement, immigration and housing counseling, interpretation and translation, information and referral, and publication of “Sampan” newspaper.
Asian Community Development Corporation
Mission: ACDC strives to be the leading regional developer and preserver of affordable housing in Greater Boston with high concentrations of Asian American residents by providing culturally appropriate and locally sensitive programs that enable residents to effectively improve their quality of life and the health and sustainability of their neighborhood, preserving Chinatown as a hub for culture and a continued gateway for new immigrants, and strengthening our Asian American community by leading placemaking efforts.
Services Provided: Their youth development program, Asian Voices of Organized Youth for Community Empowerment (A-VOYCE), supports young people in projects that provide leadership development and skill building, while raising awareness of critical community issues and Asian American culture. ACDC has also teamed up with MIT’s Community Innovations Lab to develop Speakeasy– an integrated telephone and web service which will link limited-English proficiency individuals to multilingual “Guides.” These volunteers will offer interpretation services between individuals and city service agencies, community organizations and local businesses via cell phone.
Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence
Mission: ATASK primarily serves Asian families and individuals in Massachusetts and New England who suffer from or are at risk of suffering from domestic violence. Our clients include a range of Asian ethnic populations. ATASK embraces and represents all ages, cultures, abilities, and sexual preferences.
Services Provided: Advocacy services are available for Asian women and their children suffering from domestic violence. Services include: crisis call response; advocacy at courts, hospitals, housing, and social service agencies; emergency shelters; informal counseling to families; and outreach and education programs, including ESL classes and tutoring. Languages: Hindi, Vietnamese, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Cambodian, Nepali, Bengali, Korean, Japanese, and Khmer.
Asian Women for Health
Mission: Asian Women for Health (AWFH) is a peer-led, community-based network dedicated to advancing Asian women’s health and wellness through education, advocacy, and support. We envision a world where Asian women are well-informed, have access to care that is culturally appropriate and high quality, and inspired to live happy, healthy lives.
Services Provided: Conduct community forums to engage stakeholders and use their input for program development, collaborate with academic and community partners to collect and share data to inform policy makers, engage and mobilize communities to establish a coalition to address important and emerging health issues in the Asian community.
Boston Asian YES
Mission: Boston Asian: YES provides a broad range of prevention and intervention services for Asian youth to address problems and barriers, and to build upon their strengths and interests.
Services Provided: Individual and family counseling, GED preparation, after-school tutoring, substance abuse prevention, youth leadership, youth development programs, and court diversion programs. Languages: English, Chinese (Toisanese, Mandarin, Cantonese), and Vietnamese.
Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center
Mission: To ensure that the children, youth, and families we serve have the resources and supports they need to achieve greater economic success and social well-being. For over 40 years, BCNC has served as a vital link for the Asian immigrant and Asian American community of Greater Boston. BCNC strives to provide the support and resources needed for participants to integrate into American society, while preserving the community’s rich culture. Most of those served are immigrant Chinese, with low family incomes and limited English ability.
Services Provided: Adult Education, After School, Arts and Enrichment, Early Education and Care, Family Child Care, Family Services, Recreation and Fitness, Youth Center.
Chinatown (ACCESS)
Mission: To empower Chinese families in and around Boston, with a focus on immigrant communities, bridging cultures and To empower Chinese families in and around Boston, with a focus on immigrant communities, bridging cultures and generations with a holistic Christian approach.
Services Provided: After School Program, Summer Enrichment Program, Adult Computer Literacy, ESOL classes.
Little Panda Child Care
Mission: Little Panda Early Learning and Care Center is a Chinese Mandarin Immersion full day infant, toddler and preschool early learning and care center. We’re licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care. Our main mission is to ensure that our children grow in a mandarin immersion and happy learning environment.

South Cove Community Health Center
Mission: South Cove Community Health Center is the premier Asian community health center of Massachusetts. Founded in 1972, South Cove provides medical and behavioral health services and youth and family programs for approximately 27,000 clients at four locations in the greater Boston area. Our mission is to improve the health and well being of all medically underserved in Massachusetts, with a special focus on Asian Americans. This mission is accomplished by providing high quality, community-based health care and health promotion programs that are accessible and linguistically and culturally competent for these populations.

Dorchester House Multi-Service Center
Mission: Dorchester House Multi-Service Center (DHMSC) is a full-service, state-of-the-art community health center offering primary and specialty medical services to people of all ages.

Quincy
Asian American Service Association
Mission: AASA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization since 1996 to serve the growing needs of the Asian community in Quincy. Located at 550 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02170, AASA has been one of the leading Asian organizations in Quincy to serve Asian seniors and families with children under the age of 4.
Services Provided: 1. AASA’s Wollaston Senior Center (Qi-Gong classes, English classes, Chinese nutrition meals, social services, interpretation and translation, field trips, Chinese movies, games, blood pressure testing, festive celebrations and parties, video and literature library and educational seminars) 2. AASA’s Quincy Asian Family Outreach Program serves families in Quincy with at least one child under the age of four. This program consists of a newborn visiting program, English classes with childcare for parents, translation services, child care information and referral services and childcare educational seminars for Asian families who do not speak English.

Chinatown
Hamilton Madison House
Mission: Hamilton-Madison House is a voluntary, non-profit settlement house dedicated to improving the quality of life of its community, primarily those in the Two Bridges/Chinatown area of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The neighborhood is a federally designated poverty area, with a constantly changing mixture of ethnic groups, and lack of adequate services and resources.
Services Provided: Childcare, Youth Development, Senior Services, Behavioral Health, Immigrant and Community Services.
Charles B. Wang Community Health Center
Mission: To provide information and support to the Asian American youth population through health education, programs & activities, and referrals. The Teen Resource Center (TRC) was established as an integral part of the Pediatric Unit of the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in the fall of 2003. TRC receives funding from community members, including the New York State Department of Health and the Title X Family Planning Program.
Services Provided: Internal Medicine, Dental, Mental Health, Pediatric Care, Women’s Health.
